Babies Growing, Emma Writing + Illustrating

The babes had their four month appointment today! Yes, I know, they are almost five months, but close enough. :) I accidentally left the papers at the office but Mabel was 13 lbs something and Olive was 12 lbs something. So she hasn't caught up yet...

As you can tell from the pic, she doesn't mind though. They were both champs at the doctor - chill and pleasant the whole time until their shots. And even then, they only cried a wee bit.

Taking selfies while waiting for the doctor...

Then the nice doctor came in and offered to take a picture for us :)

We came home and Emma was ready to deliver her book to her friend! Emma decided a few days ago that she wanted to make a book for her friend and has been working on it every chance she gets for the last few days. I love when Emma does things like this. She comes up with these ideas all on her own and sticks to them until she is done. And today, she finished! Before she took it to her friend, I wanted to take a picture of each page so we could remember this incredible story she wrote and illustrated.

We bought ice cream sandwiches on Saturday and the girls have been wanting to share them with their friends everyday since. So far it hasn't worked out (either because we've already had treats or their friends weren't out when they thought they might be). The girls have been so patient and understanding each time I tell them today isn't day the for ice cream sandwiches - which is something I love about my girls - that they trust me and are okay with being told no. So today when Emma asked if they could have ice cream sandwiches, I said YES! Dinner was coming up soon so we decided to cut them in half but the girls were still so happy to have ice cream sandwiches and to share them with their friends.
I found this pic on my phone - Emma was documenting that one of her FOUR missing teeth is starting to grow back. Hallelujah!
