Visitors and Coconut Pie

My parents are here! They got here late last night and the girls were so excited to see them this morning! Here's my dad and mom with Mabel. Olive was still napping.

Right after we finished home church, Dallas disappeared while we watched some other Sunday videos off youtube. I came upstairs and found him looking guilty and then realized he was cutting up apples to make these delicious apple tart/empanada/whatever you want to call them. Wow! Definitely nothing to feel guilty about. I am looking forward to buying some vanilla ice cream tomorrow and eating that goodness.

I came downstairs and found this scene on our couch. I bet your all wondering what they were watching.

It was a violin recital! Emma and Alice had already played so now Lucy was playing "chicka chicka boom boom" for everyone.

Dallas has trained our kids to not give normal smiles - he likes them to look extra excited or silly or angry or do something different with their face. If you look through all our pics, you will see he has trained them pretty well.

Ah. The winner of the two coconut pies Dallas made. That is ALL HOME-MADE WHIP CREAM on the top. Yum.

My dad said he'd get the girls to sleep with one of his famous "Sammy the Squirrel" stories. He proudly came down and said he'd gotten two of them to sleep. No way! It wasn't even 7:30! I then realized the two he was talking about were my mom and Mabel. No fair, dad. That doesn't count. :)
