Zoo

We went to the Smithsonian zoo today! Dallas and I went way back when we were first married, but this is the first time we went with our kids. A lot of stuff was closed down for covid or construction but it was a beautiful day - perfect weather and no kids (or adults :) got cranky! Here are some pictures.

The first two are of me and Emma having our mommy date she requested yesterday. Sure enough, she came and woke me up before 6 a.m. and asked to read a book with just me. Within minutes, the babies joined us but Emma didn't mind.

Lunch time. Which happened within 7 minutes of getting there.

Emma showing me the sign she learned for zebra in her class.

I think we are looking at pigs...

Checking out the elephants...

Happy grandma and grandpa...

Prob one of the best/lively exhibits...praire dogs.

Perfect babies. We left around 11:30 a.m. and I had nursed them before their nap around 9:30 a.m....and they didn't nurse until we were halfway home around 4:45!

Watching the lions...

Emma and Lucy running to catch up. Love that they are holding hands. :)

A special picture to see sweet Alice and all the bows she put in her hair today. She LOVES wearing bows and getting dressed up, as you probably already know. :)

Watching the sea lions. Another great exhibit.

Wow. Gorgeous day. And those sea lions were having a party posing for us. :)

Me and the babies after I pulled over to nurse them. They were STARVING. But very happy after they ate.
