Donuts, Reindeer, Soccer, Santa, More Pie?!

Man, going back and writing these posts is reminding me that we have had A LOT of treats. This past month has been treat-filled. I promise we are not always like this...this is future Amy speaking. Talk to me in a month and find out if we've switched gears.

Anyway, on this Saturday, I had a coupon for Dunkin Donuts that expired TODAY. Emma likes to do fancy breakfasts on Saturday (which is usually waffles or pancakes with eggs and sausage). However, when I offered to do donuts instead, they happily accepted.

Alice and Lucy looking sad when the donut breakfast is finished.

I found this Christmas sweater in our Christmas box and lamented to Dallas that we would never use it. A lady on my mission in Argentina gave it to me for my future son. As you know, we don't have any sons. Emma heard me ask Dallas what we should do with it and she ran up and said, "I will wear it!" I don't know why I didn't think of that. She loves it and I am happy we are finally using it.

The girls had been outside for a while (again, incredible weather - you should all move here to Maryland :) and when I went out to check on them, this is what I saw. Alice is the reindeer, Emma is Santa and Lucy is her pet dog. Lucy is in the makeshift sleigh they made of sticks.

We finally went to watch Dallas play frisbee! We just saw him play for a bit and then Dallas played soccer with the girls. They love playing soccer. Dallas says we are definitely signing them up for soccer in the Spring.

Silly Lucy :) She played a bit with Dallas and the girls, but she mostly kept me and the babies company.

Pensive Mabel. Wondering if mommy will ever keep her goals.

And here's our little Olive. Can you tell the difference in the babes? Dallas says he can't, but I think their faces are different.

The girls stuck one of their stuffed animal snowmen on the tree as an ornament. I had nothing to do with decorating this tree. The girls did everything. So there's a good chance most of the ornaments are on one side of the tree, but that's okay.

Seriously? More pie?! Yes, I know. Slightly ridiculous. This was actually supposed to be part of Thanksgiving pie menu, but I didn't have it finished in time. It's a chocolate cream pie and I forgot about the whole "sit in the fridge" for a while thing. Anyway, here it is. It was pretty good, but not better than the other five pies we had.

This was so cute. Alice used one of her bows as a mustache to complete her "Santa" look.

Lucy enjoying her pie while giving me one of those classic eyebrow-raised Lucy looks.
