Feeding Babies, Shopping Essentials

Wednesday, December 2. A pretty normal day.

The photo shoot starts with Lucy feeding one of the babies. Lucy is truly "quick to observe." She sees an opportunity to help and zooms in with all necessary materials...especially when the "help" involves feeding the babies or cooking in the kitchen. She grabs a stool (notice the black one she is sitting on - it's essentially her leg extensions) and pushes it over to a kitchen drawer where she finds some baby spoons, pushes the stool to the pantry where she finds some baby food, and then before I know it, she has pushed the stool over to the highchair and is suddenly feeding the baby.

And, of course, taste-testing.

Here you go, baby!

"Come on - open your mouth." She is actually pretty good at her aim and keeping it level so it doesn't spill.

Mm. Another taste test. No worries, Lucy, I do this too.

Meanwhile, Emma and Alice are hard at work. Emma is getting started with virtual school while Alice works on her handwriting. Alice just got her second handwriting book and she is SO excited. I have to remind her to not do too many pages a day.

And here is Lucy hard at work taking care of the babies.

I love when Emma dances with her virtual school. For their "brain breaks" Emma's teacher often puts on a fun song and the kids dance along. This was, of course, a Christmas song!

Dallas, the greatest dad ever. I know, there are many wonderful fathers in the world, but I truly believe Dallas is one of the greatest. So, here's a picture of him looking awesome and holding one of the babies (Mabel).

We got a FRIEND magazine in the mail today and Alice has been studiously working on coloring any coloring pages she can find in it. I love how excited our girls are to color, write, and just make stuff. I don't think I did that as a kid...

I was running out for a quick errand and just had to snap this picture of sweet Emma and her sweet friend Audrey. I know I say this a zillion times, but I'm going to say it again - I LOVE where we live and I am SO grateful so many wonderful people live near us. It makes me super happy to see my kids having positive experiences with good friends and here are these two girls in front of another friend's house. Seriously, SO MANY great neighbors!

Ah yes. This is where I was going. Good ole' Food Lion for some essentials...which appear to be ice cream. :)
