Hey there! It's been a minute! Actually about 14,400 minutes or 10 days, to be more exact. I don't know what happened. Well, I do. It's that thing where you just keep saying, "I'll do it tomorrow" and before you know it - your life has passed! I am always amazed how quickly time goes.
Anyway, here a bunch of photos of the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The girls were in full Thanksgiving-prep mode. Emma and Alice worked feverishly to ensure that they and Lucy and the babies and our neighbors all had either pilgrim hats/bows or indian headdresses to wear.
Alice made Mabel a little pilgrim bow - just like the one she made in preschool. It was so cute to see the girls work to make all these costumes. As always, I had nothing to do with it. They just came up with the ideas and did it while I did...who knows what I did.
Sweet Alice telling me something. Possibly asking me to paint her toenails...I always tell her I will only paint nails on Sundays because it's a calm, relaxing day when we can do things like that.
Both girlies showing off all their hard work - drawing, coloring, cutting, stapling. Again, I did nothing. Maybe nursed some babies? I really don't know what I do with my time...
Oh yes! And they showed me this cute turkey song from Alice's preschool (the same one Emma went to last year.)
Dallas feeding Olive. You will notice she got an indian headdress.
The creation station. If you look really closely on the left-hand side, you'll see the beginnings of Emma's "Art Wall".
Emma started a blog this day and I think her first or second blog post is about this "Art Wall." It's pretty cute - you'll have to check it out: emmasviolin.blogspot.com. Here's a snapshot of her making a video about it.
The girls also learned how to do something on the tablet - where you put animal ears/faces/etc. on yourself. I know everybody and their dog already knows how to do this, but I still don't. However, I did think it was pretty fun to see the girls' creations. Here is a video of them:
And here's the sweet babes! I think the other girls were already asleep and Olive and Mabel decided to stay up late for a little crawling session with mommy and daddy. I love how easy it is to make them smile or laugh. They just look at me and start smiling and laughing like I've just told them the funniest joke. They are so sweet.
And here's Dallas. Ending the night by cleaning out poop and baby food from the babies' clothes. I am so grateful that he is so good at evicting stains. Can you say that? Evicting stains?
