Here I am nursing the babies on this lovely Monday morning. I took this pic because it was just so funny watching Alice and Lucy run back and forth with their babies. When I asked Alice where she was running so fast, she responded, "No where! I'm just racing!" And she zipped back to her room with Lucy zooming behind her, both clutching/dangling babies and stuffed animals in their arms.
Alice and Lucy discussing more about their race.
The cutie-pa-tooties posing before they zoom off again.
We got a highchair! Not really, we are just borrowing this one for now. We have actually NEVER owned a highchair. I know...how is it that we are getting our first highchair on our fourth and fifth babies?! Great question. No idea. Anyway, I asked on our church's facebook for some recommendations. I wanted something simple and easy to clean. A bunch of people recommended these Ikea chairs and one sweet friend let us borrow hers to see if we like it before we buy two. Today was our first day with it and it seems pretty great! Way easier than feeding two squirmy babies in bumbos. That is a true safety hazard.
And another friend let us borrow their highchair! It is a bit bigger so it is PERFECT for Lucy and she is LOVING it! Again, why haven't we gotten one before now? No idea. I feel like this discovery of high chairs is similar to my discovery of purses way back when. I used to carry my keys, wallet, phone, and other junk all in my hands or pockets and of course, lost it all the time. Then one day, I started using a purse and it was like magic. I remember thinking, "Good grief! Why didn't I start using one of these things a long time ago?!" What can I say - I am a late bloomer. Sometimes it takes me a while to figure things out.
ee what I mean about the girls picking up the babies? Seriously any opportunity they get, they are picking them up and gushing on them. I love that our girls love our babies so much. And that baby behind Emma in the bumbo is a doll. Don't be fooled. Mabel must be asleep right now, Alice is gushing on Olive.
Never mind - here's Mabel! The babies (and the big girls) love this toy computer. It is currently the most sought-after toy in our home.
Now Olive is in the chair. Both babies are loving having a highchair. Since we only have one of the smaller highchairs, one baby sits in the chair and the other on our lap and we feed them at the same time.
Emma doing some school with her baby Julia and Lucy doing her school too (with the coveted and loved little toy computer). Ever since the babies stopped using the bumbo, baby Julia has been using it quite a bit. The same thing happened when the babies stopped using their bouncers and swings. Luckily we have a plethora of baby dolls to use all these items our babies outgrow. Our girlies are going to be the best mommies. :)
