Lucy and the babies love playing in the bathroom. Here's Lucy taking a lap around the tub with Olive standing at the side and Mabel smiling up at us. I know it's Mabel 'cause she's wearing the dinosaur sleeper and that's Mabel's since she roars all the time. :)
Just a cute pic. Looks like Olive is on the run and Mabel is now taking a turn at the tub.
These babes are so quick! We have to be really good about closing the bathroom door now. We have found them eating toilet paper way too many times!
Haha! Olive thinks we're hilarious. And Mabel's happy she at least got something before she got caught.
Back at the tub! They could play in this bathroom ALL DAY.
I was playing the piano and heard Emma helping Lucy ride her horse. It was so sweet so I took a picture to remember. I love when our girls play well together and help each other.
Another incredible city built by the girlies. They seriously play SO WELL together. I love this time that they are all home and I am going to miss it. Next year Alice and Emma will (most likely) be in school. That is going to be so different. I love all this time that we are all together.
We got a snow day today! It didn't really snow, but it was forecasted to snow so Dallas got to stay home! And I asked him to make dinner - which was enchiladas. He did a great job.
You guys are in for a real treat. Dallas first started doing "Just Dance" with the girls back in our Wyview apartment in Provo. It was Dallas' way of helping the girls get some exercise even when it was freezing cold and snowing outside. (We call it "Poor-Man's Just Dance" because we just find songs on YouTube and dance to them.) They were so cute dancing together back then and still are.
I always want to record Dallas dancing with the girls but he is quite determined to not let that happen and I want to be respectful of his wishes. However, I begged to record them tonight because, I reminded him, some day these girls are going to be grown and we want these memories. I also reminded him of my plan for him to do these dances with them at their future weddings. "Kung Fu Fighting" for Alice, "What Does the Fox Say" for Lucy, and the jury's still out for Emma's favorite "Just Dance" song, but maybe "We Speak No Americano" for Emma. Oh no wait. Probably "YMCA" for Emma.
Today you just get pictures. You'll have to come to their future weddings to see Dallas dancing with them or figure out a way to get Dallas indebted to you and maybe then he'll let you see some of this footage.
This is them deciding which songs to start with.
Still deciding.
Oh! Here we go!
Oh yeah, This is gonna be good.
This is one pic of Dallas doing "Kung Fu Fighting" with Alice.
After dancing, it was PIE TIME! Yes, yes, I know. Today is Thursday. Pies are not supposed to happen til the weekend, but today was like a weekend since Dallas had the day off (and will get the morning off tomorrow). Plus, we had some leftover pie crust, so we threw together a delicious apple pie with crumble topping. Super easy and super scrumptious. Maybe one of our favorite pies and probably the easiest. Here's the recipe we used: Apple Crumble Pie.
