The babes slept for so long for their morning nap today! I never really heard them crying so I decided to go check on them. When I got close to their door, I could hear cute little sounds. So I went back for the camera so I could document what I found. Turns out they were happily with some hot wheels cars. How did those get in there? I figured Lucy had dumped them in the crib when I wasn't paying attention, but I later learned it was Dallas. He proudly told me it was his idea. He figured it might help the babies wake up happy and maybe even play in their crib for a while. He was so pleased to hear that it worked.
Here is the video.
I am not really sure Emma's purpose/endgame in making this video, but I really like it. She's so glad and also, it seems, exhausted that it's Saturday.
Oh yes! I think this is why Emma had the phone - she wanted to take a picture of this chapel/tower that she built with the magnetic blocks. Which reminds me. A few days ago, Emma was walking around the house singing, "Aaaaan arch-i-tect. I waaaant to be an aaaaarch-i-tect. Because aaaaaan arch-i-tect builds so many things! And then, I waaaaant to be a li-brar-i-aaaan. Be-cause I love boooooooks!" And there was a third thing she wanted to be...oh yes, a teacher! Anyway, it was really cute to hear her singing about all the things she wants to be. I feel like we have come a long way since she previously aspired only to be a Red Robin waitress - because they have great food, crayons with coloring paper, and red balloons.
Here are Emma's little people getting together for...I am not sure what. Could be a wedding, funeral, birthday, anything.
Oh yes! This is when the girlies were doing Alice's Home Preschool! Remember how sad Alice was yesterday when her preschool got cancelled? Very. Very, very sad. Silent tears streaming down her cheeks. It was sweet and heart-wrenching. We promised her we could do home preschool but somehow didn't get it done yesterday - probably because Emma was doing her virtual kindergarten all day. So, the girlies made plans last night and made it happen today. That white stool over there is the "library" - Emma filled it with books on the bottom step. And they made "jobs" for all the kids at preschool. And recited the Pledge of Allegiance, discussed the calendar, letters, snack time, etc. They had SUCH FUN. These girls love being with each other and I LOVE IT!
