More Friends

Wednesday, February 17

Olive has been saying "Da-da-da-da" for a few days now and Dallas is delighted. She is currently his favorite.

No worries, though. Whenever one baby does something, the other is always close behind. So I'm sure Mabel will be saying it soon. :)

I love Lucy's outfits. Today she has her favorite puppy-dog hoodie on UNDERNEATH this pink polka-dot shirt-dress that both Emma and Alice once wore. This polka-dot outfit has definitely been well-loved.

It makes me so happy to see my girls playing with the babies.

There are definitely times when the girls get frustrated with the babies (it's usually when Emma has built something and babies destroy it), but generally they enjoy having two baby sisters.

One of the girlies must have taken these pictures while I was rapid-fire getting the babies ready so we could drop Alice off at preschool.

One of the babies' favorite activities: climbing up the stairs and grabbing stuff along the way. It's slightly dangerous...but they do it anyway.

Emma got to have over TWO friends today! It was her half-day so they got lots of play time. One of the girls recommended we add sprinkles to our graham cracker plus nutella snack. We will never go back.

These girls are so funny! All blonde and blue-eyed. They worried their moms wouldn't know who was who in these pics. No worries, we figured it out. Interesting fact: Emma is the oldest but definitely the shortest. It's the genes.

Alice getting home from preschool! She loves that she gets to have a "Daddy-Alice" date every time she comes home from preschool. Today they stopped at the library and picked up a book that had been on hold for Emma.

Alice sampling the new treat. She agrees that sprinkles are the best.

Once Dallas and Alice were home, I took Emma's friends home and then headed off to Costco with Lucy and the babes. Lucy NEVER misses any opportunity to go shopping. And honestly, I LOVE shopping with her. She is so cute and fun. She'll see something and say, "Mom, we need this!" Which I'm sure all kids do, but she is also really good about putting it back when I say, "Mmm, no we don't."

Mabel slept the ENTIRE time, but as you can see in the pic, Olive was wide awake!

Home at last. Listening to Dallas read Little House on the Praire at bedtime. I think he's the best dad on the planet. I know I am biased. Whenever he does something like spill food on the babies or something else that really isn't a big deal, I joke that he just lost "Dad of the Year", but really I think he wins it everyday.

I tried to take a wider view so I could get the babies as well, but it's really hard when the babes are on your lap.

So herre's a pic of just them and Dallas' feet.
