Hot dog for half-days! Once again, hardly any snow - but we aren't complaining! Dallas got to be home til noon! So he ushered me onto my treadmill while he did his abs and push-ups while simultaneously keeping the babies happy.
Even though Dallas didn't have to go to work, the kiddos still had school - but hey, it's virtual. Actually, Alice's preschool got cancelled and she was very sad about that. But we told her we could do pretend preschool at home and that helped her feel a little better.
Just chillin' with Olive after my run.
Oh look - here we all are - me and the babes. Olive in back, Mabel in front.
We got to have a friend over for dinner today and we made one of my favorite meals! The recipe is from wellplated.com and is called Instant Pot Chili. I love that it has sweet potatoes in it and it's easy and yummy and relatively healthy... Okay, I guess once I add the cornbread and fluffy butter, not so much. Oh well.
Anyway, during dinner, our robot vacuum showed up! Everybody was super excited. We've been talking to the girls about the robot for a few days. We didn't want them to be afraid of it or anything. We had also already been thinking of names for it. We were thinking we might name her "Aspira", which is short for "aspiradora" - the Spanish word for vacuum. The girls were a little disappointed (okay, we all were) when we realized she had to charge before she could get to work. But the girlies understood once we helped them realize the vacuum had come a long way and needed to rest.
Lucy was especially concerned about the vacuum getting her rest and asked us multiple times if the vacuum was going to get some good sleep so she could wake up in the morning. We assured her it would.
Here's a pic of Dallas with the vacuum later that night. The vacuum had definitely NOT yet had a good night's sleep, but Dallas couldn't wait and decided to give her just a little test run. We are super pumped to wake up in the morning and let this vacuum show us her skills.
