Another Saturday, another pie. And this time, we got to eat it!
I took a couple pics of Dallas to try and get the flour on his face. If you look carefully, you can see it under his eye :) He's legit.
And the girlies at their favorite place - the art factory. They take their job very seriously.
Here's Lucy showing me what she is drawing in her little notebook.
"This is Elsa."
Proof that Emma isn't always smiling.
But no worries, it never lasts long. :)
Alice watching intently while Emma makes a bed for her little lizard. Emma cut out miniature sheets and pillows for him - even a decorative pillow!
I'm not sure why I took this picture. But Alice is sweet and cute and that is reason enough.
Emma was SO excited about this little solar system they made.
Here's a closer pic so you can better see their planets.
Hi, happy Mabel! And lots and lots of laundry...
And Olive! Seeing these two cute babies never gets old.
So many happy smiles!
I know you probably feel like there are a ba-jillion photos on here...and you're right, but this is only a baby anthill to the mountains of photos we have!
Lucy loves to fill up this little backpack with all sorts of stuff and then carry it all around the house. She is such a fun little girl.
Oh hey there, Dallas! Just working on his push-ups. His family is doing a 100 push-ups/day challenge. And as we all know, once Dallas says he'll do something, he does it.
Emma was so excited about her planets, she went and found this shirt to wear today. I love the little things our kids notice and do.
This year we decided to have the girls get gifts for each other. It's something I'd been wanting to do, but I didn't know how to go about it. Then a friend (also with five kids around our kids' age) shared how they did it. I figured we could try it too! We told the girls and they were SUPER excited! Emma would get something for Alice, Alice for Lucy, and Lucy for Emma.
Although the girlies were totally pumped, I felt hesitant about taking all the kids to a store and having them show each other what they liked and then sneakily getting each other their gifts. I felt like the stores would be mega-crowded, we would have a bunch of children, and there would be way too many over-priced and useless gifts. And then, in the heat and chaos of the moment, the girlies would declare some random toy is what they wanted and we would end up buying something that wasn't really useful and cost way too much money.
Then, I had a stroke of genius. We could use Facebook marketplace! It would eliminate the crowded stores as well as the over-priced and lame toys. I had the girls gather around and we scrolled FB marketplace. They pointed out things they liked and then I had them come over one at a time to decide what to get their sister. I let them know if it was too far away or too pricey and then we would keep looking til we found the perfect gift. Holy cow, this was awesome. We did it all from the comfort of our home and got quality, meaningful gifts for an acceptable price (5 dollars).
So this picture is Alice getting her gift for Lucy. We went and picked it up this evening in Columbia, not too far from Howard High School where I used to be a Spanish teacher. Alice was SO excited to get this picnic basket for Lucy and Emma and Lucy are both really excited to get their gifts for their sisters next week. :)
After picking up the gift and running some other errands, we came home to the MOST DELICIOUS pie. I know, that is really hard to say because they are all so scrump-diddli-umptious. But this one was definitely pretty dang good. Blueberry with a crumble on top.
Here's a view of the inside. Now just imagine that in your tummy. More like in your mouth - I guess that's where the tasting happens.
Bedtime! Lucy in her kitty jammies from Hannah. They are size 8 but Lucy doesn't care. And cute babies playing with the space set-up Emma and Alice made.
I think the stool was part of their spaceship and under it is a box of the stuff they were taking to space with them. If you look carefully, you'll see they also brought the pink airplane up as part of their space adventures.
Just a pic of Dallas brushing the girls' teeth. He does this pretty much every night. I do it occasionally...but it's mostly Dallas who saves our children's teeth.
Haha. Cute Lucy on the airplane while Olive tries to grab it.
Two pics of happy Mabel.
And two pics of sweet Olive. These babies have come to love hanging out in the girl's room while the girlies get ready for bed.
