Run, So Much Play, Shopping, Chess Pie

 Saturday, January 30

These awesome ladies came out to run with me again! It was another great run. Super de duper cold though. We were going to do 13, but ended up only doing 12 because we were frozen.

The girlies did what Dallas has been dreaming of since Christmas - building with all their blocks, train set, castles, etc. They played down in the basement for HOURS.

I sent Dallas down there to snap some pictures. Dallas asked them what those little tents were for. "This is where the boys sleep." Where are the princesses? "They sleep in the castles."

I took this picture because it shows how much thought and concern Dallas puts into his pies. I was sitting nursing the babies and he was standing there with his exercise clothes looking worried. "What's up?" "I'm just thinking about my pie. Do you think it's going to work?" Haha - oh Dallas makes me laugh. Of course, it will work. Today he is doing a "chess-pie" - which is definitely something new.

Lucy is always trying to take pictures or videos, and she thinks she is, but she isn't actually. Anyway, today I showed her how to actually click the button and this is the picture she got while I was doing her hair. She loves to have her hair in a ponytail on top WITH A BRAID. The braid is very important. And also that it gets "sprayed" with water before I do it. And in case you're wondering, "sprayed" and "braid" sound a lot alike.

Always stuff on the stairs. Which is great for the babies. Little motivations for them to climb higher.

This is one of Lucy's best drawings.

It's one of the first times I can tell what she is drawing. She drew herself and her sisters and a cake for each of them. Probably cause Alice had previously drawn a bunch of cakes on this whiteboard. And Alice probably drew cakes because Dallas had drawn cakes on this whiteboard for Emma's birthday when we played "Pin the Candle."

Just Dallas helping Emma with practicing violin. The girls are getting so good at violin.

Happy Olive.

Lucy helping with dinner. She loves cheese.

More standing babies and babies crawling around with stuff in BOTH hands.

I had to run some errands and Lucy and the twins wanted to come.

It was so fun going shopping with them. Lucy ALWAYS wants to shop or go on any type of errand. And the twins had a blast hanging out in the cart. This was their first time not being in the stroller in their car seats.

The girlies must have been looking at some customer in the store.

And here's the babes sitting in the front. It's not meant for two - but their legs are small enough they could fit.

I loved seeing how they all played together.

And I love how the twins are leaning up against each other.

I came home to a surprise! Dallas, Emma, and Alice cleaned up the whole house and had a delicious chess pie waiting for us.

Here it is.

With the berry sauce. And that's Emma getting ready to attack it.

Awww. Look at it.

Yay for pie night!

Even the babies are excited for pie!
